First off, let me just say….woah. I’m floored and honored to be featured on the cover of such an amazing magazine! If you need a copy, come to the Pink Bride Bridal show this Sunday Aug, 14th from 11-4, or you can view it all online here. BUT there is something magical to be said about holding an actual printed copy in your hands and feeling the new sand/matte cover in all it’s glory before flipping though pages of talented local vendors and beautiful weddings from the Knoxville area. Seriously, we have the BEST wedding network here in Knoxville. So. Much. Talent. I’m honored to be featured along side so many other awesome photographers, florists, venues, DJ’s and caterers. We all love what we do so much, and we do it for you..the brides. Your day means so much to me and it’s so special that I get to capture your perfect moments. Love. It. Speaking of loving what we do, have you seen Shanelle Bledsoe Photography’s spread in the magazine (page 140-141): Game of Thrones Theme. Holy Cow. It ROCKS!!! Also, check out Lisa Price Photography’s gorgeous spread of my best friend’s wedding (page 124-125), it’s stunning and I even make a cameo! (Am I famous yet?! j/k)
So here’s the backstory on this shoot. It honestly could NOT have been done without the AMAZING talents of Leslie Britt Floral Design. This girl has vision and talent for days. She designed a classic and elegant color pallet that contrasted well against the industrial look of the Standard. Finding the perfect dress that would play into that theme was easy at the Gilded Gown, there were so many gorgeous dresses to choose from. Southern Belle Beauty polished up Alex’s already stunning features and made them pop perfectly on camera. Alex and William Norris (the models) are actually friends of mine that have been married for a few years. I needed a model and they were readily available and got SO excited to play wedding again! You can see the adoration that these two share for each other and how fun it was to get extra wedding images! The Norris’s own Bike n’ Tri in downtown Maryville, which is how I met them over a year ago. Fun-loving, honest, and hardworking cyclists…my kind of people.
