At the end of January, we braved the winter elements to capture Nicole and Keith’s engagement session. Y’all, these two were such troopers. It was so cold and windy with a little sprinkling rain thrown in there for good measure. Even with full winter conditions in effect, Nicole and Keith brighten up every single photo and truly warmed our winter-battered hearts.
Nicole rocked a green velvet mini and we are so glad she did. It may have been freezing but she wouldn’t let that show. This dress was perfect for all the twirling photos, so of course we took several and we aren’t even sorry about it. The velvet added an extra element of texture. It is a new trend we are seeing for winter bridesmaids’ dresses and we can’t get enough.
We strolled all over Downtown Knoxville to the Old City. Some of our surprise favorites (besides the twirling photos of course) we the ones taken on the Gay Street Bridge. The weather in East Tennessee that day blanketed Downtown Knoxville with a light mist making all the photos super romantic. Practically straight from a Romantic Comedy, don’t you think?!
We can’t wait to captured the rest of Nicole and Keith wedding journey. In just a few short months these two will be saying “I Do” at a historic home in Knoxville. Can you guess which East Tennessee treasure this special occasion is being held at? Hint: It overlooks the river. You’ll find out soon enough. Keep an eye on the blog!
