Romantic Castle Wedding
It’s almost time to wish a very happy anniversary to our sweet couple, Martha and Ethan. These two said “I Do” at Homewood Castle in Asheville, North Carolina, last year. Chilly temperatures and rain couldn’t dampen the utter joy everyone felt for the new Mr. & Mrs. Honeycutt on their wedding day.
Homewood has preserved the historic 1920’s stone manor into one of Asheville’s premier wedding and event venues. Located in Asheville’s post-Victorian historic district of Montford. Walking the same halls as greats like Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald and even The Vanderbilts, you can only feel elegant and regal. The elegant castle features original hardwood floors, cherry walls, grand Appalachian stone fireplaces and alabaster sconces. Luminous wrought iron chandeliers cast graceful lighting from the 20-foot ceiling of the Great Room. This venue was a dream to photograph.
The couple got ready separately, only sharing a touch and note before the ceremony. His face when he first sees her at the ceremony is absolutely priceless. Go ahead and get your tissues ready. There were lots of laughs and drinks to be had while getting ready for the ceremony. The bride, bridesmaids, and bridesman donned flannel while toasting the change of Martha’s last name. The groom and his groomsman all got funky and unique socks to rock while toasting his new bride.
Cozy Bride and Bridesmaids in Fur
The bridesmaids wore wine colored dresses and completed the look with light brown fur shawls. Post ceremony the bride opted for a super cozy, brown fur jacket. Martha and Ethan gave us all the warm and fuzzy feels after the ceremony while walking the castle grounds. These two just radiate love and happiness for each other. Even snuggling up next to a vintage Chrysler. Now that’s a get-a-way car. These two enjoyed a night filled with dancing, toasts, and laughter before enjoying a dance alone among the evergreens and bistro lights. How romantic!
Thank you inviting Danielle Evans Photography up to Asheville to capture your beautiful wedding day at Homewood Castle. It was just plain magical. Congratulations again Martha & Ethan!
