In October we were honored with the opportunity to be a part of Karen and Mark’s wedding day. The two chose to celebrate their love at Ramble Creek, a wedding venue in Athens, Tennessee. This fall day started off with drizzling rain but ended with clear skies lit with sparklers and a newly married couple.
During Karen’s engagement to Mark, her father briefly mentioned all he wanted on his daughter’s wedding wedding was to have breakfast with his little girl. The topic was never brought up again, but Karen held on to the sweet idea. So on the morning of her wedding day, with the help of Ramble Creek Catering, Karen and her father sat down for breakfast together and exchanged gifts. Grab your tissues, these moments we captured are by far some of the sweetest.
Karen then started the getting ready process with her bridesmaids and “brides-man-of-honor” (her brother) in the bridal suite. The crew enjoyed their Starbucks together and we just want to know where we sign up to be a part of this club! Hopefully when we join it comes with a “After This We’re Getting Pizza” T-Shirt too, because we need one ASAP!
The groom and his groomsman used the morning to practice a special surprise for the bride we later see at the reception. It’s good…trust us.
The couple said “I Do” in the Great Hall before friends and family. The bride carried a gorgeous LB Floral creation of succulents, greenery blush and ivory blooms. Karen looked absolutely stunning in her fit-in-flare gown with sweeping tulle across her upper arms. The groom’s succulent boutonniere matched her florals beautifully. Standing by his side was “Best Sister”. How sweet?! After becoming husband and wife we explored the full grounds of RC and captured the love of Karen and Mark from many different perspectives.
In a quick flip of the room, the Great Hall was transformed into a gorgeous reception. Tables were decorated with lanterns, greenery and roses. After toasts and traditional dances, the couple cut their cake. It was decorated with succulents, blooms, and the silhouettes of Mickey and Minnie Mouse to top it all off. The groom was then able to reveal his surprise. His groomsmen and himself serenaded Karen with their rendition of “Mario Kart Love Song”. (Yes I linked the original on YouTube…careful it’s catchy) Naturally Mark wore a Mario hat while his groomsmen donned Luigi hats.
As if the night couldn’t be anymore eventful, two sharks crashed the party. Two of the groomsmen dressed up in the shark suits and hit the dance floor. I am sure Katy Perry would definitely have approved of their dance moves. I know we were entertained.
The couple was sent off in the light of a bunch of sparklers and love of their guests. We just loved how these turned out. The love of Karen and Mark shined brighter than any sparkler or star combined. Congrats you two!
