Aw Shucks {Published on The Bride Link}

So the fabulously wonderful Haley Dotson, owner of The Bride Link, interviewed me the other day to incorporate into her blog.  I was pretty excited that she wanted to feature me along with some other extremely talented photographers here in Knoxville and now the surrounding areas.  If you are looking for a wedding resource listing, budget guide, and even inspiration for your wedding, look no further then her website!!  It is jam packed FULL of all kinds of goodies!  Oh, and you’ll catch more of my work on there as well.  I’ve been working with her on her DIY section that focuses on everything from wedding or bridesmaid hair inspiration, pie pops for your festive parties this summer or how to set a beautiful tablescape at your wedding!  I’ll be reposting some of the fun projects we’ve been working on here too.

Meredith & Bradley | Kiawah Candlelit Beach Wedding

I photographed these two college all-stars during the Olympics for their engagement session and the couple, decked out in red, white, and blue, paddleboarded together in a cove.  From that moment on, I knew we’d have a phenomenal time at the wedding!  Their wedding was held at Meredith’s family’s favorite vacation spot, Kiawah, SC.  Over three hundred of their closest friends and family came to celebrate with them.  What a celebration it was!  Both families are so incredibly kind-hearted and fun-loving, it was beautiful to see what a tight knit group they both sides have become.  Meredith and Bradley shared a first look in the stairwell before taking the rest of the photos out on the beach.  With 13 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen and a ceremony at dusk, it was the perfect solution for photos!  We had beautiful weather for a group that mainly consisted of college track and soccer athletes that didn’t bat an eye when I asked them to run and jump around on the beach!   The Sandcastle was the ultimate fit for this party-loving group, they danced the night away after a beautiful and sentimental candlelit ceremony on their private beach.  Each guest carried a candle to the ceremony and the service began at dusk.  It truly was magical.  Their albums came in today and I felt like I was reliving their wedding again, so I wanted to share again (it’s a LONG post, but totally worth scrolling through all of it!!)  Love you both and I hope you have many years of happiness together!

You can find their editorial feature in The Knoxville Pink Bride Magazine, Winter 2014 Issue and on their blog.  <3 getting published!

Kathleen & Carter | Soccer Engagement

These two just got married this last Saturday and I can’t WAIT to blog about their fabulous wedding.  Until then though, I’ll tease you with some of their fabulous photos from their engagement session.

From the moment I met Kathleen and Carter, I knew they were both meant for each other:  they pulled out a soccer ball and their Radford University jerseys for pictures.  A photographer’s dream!  We had so much fun around the Knoxville Botanical Gardens shooting last Thanksgiving break.  Later that afternoon we went to downtown Knoxville for a quick shoot along Gay street alive with Christmas lights! Oh, how gorgeous it turned out!  Well, take a look!

Grace & Randy Wedding | Episcopal Church of the Ascension | The Emporium | Knoxville | TN

What a perfect wedding adorned with dusty pink and gray accents throughout the day!  Lisa Foster Floral Design created the perfect floral touches to set off the colors.  Grace and Randy were married at the beautiful Knoxville Episcopal Church of the Ascension.  They saw each other before hand, although, we had to play a little game of cat and mouse in order to set up the first look, there are windows EVERYWHERE!  The first look, one of my favorite moments, was precious as Randy saw his glowing bride for the first time.  This couple knows how to party!  They were whisked away by a trolly across town to The Emporium where they danced the night away!  Of course, we had to stop for a few priceless photos in downtown Knoxville!  Enjoy!

A Whimsical Wedding

Holly and Michael were married last year in a beautiful spring wedding at The Reserve at Bluebird Hill.  Those ladies sure do cater to every need during a wedding, I love working with them!  Whimsical Gatherings outdid themselves creating stunning cascading floral arrangements across the arbor and throughout the reception area.  Everywhere I looked I was gasping at how captivating all the details were!  Holly and Michael were high school sweethearts that finally tied the knot almost ten years later.  Patrick Michael Sound and Lighting did a spectacular surprise overview of the couple’s history together that delighted all their friends and family!
